Traveling exhibition: Helfer auf vier Pfoten (Four-Pawed Helpers)
for
German Association for the Blind and Partially Sighted | Berlin
In October 1916, the German Association for Medical Service Dogs gave the first professionally trained seeing-eye dog to Paul Feyen, a blind war veteran. One hundred years later, the German Association for the Blind and Partially Sighted (DBSV) honored this historic event with a traveling exhibition. Ten panels provide an overview of the history of guide dogs, their training, and the special nature of human-canine teamwork. The exhibition is handicapped accessible. It was designed jointly with the DBSV. An audio version is available via a QR code.
