Competition, 1^st place
The Staatsoper Unter den Linden is a world-renowned opera house. A competition was held to design a more dynamic and incisive corporate design for the Staatsoper and the Staatskapelle, one that at once expressed their distinct identities and their symbiotic relationship. It therefore made perfect sense to integrate the building itself, their common home, into the logo. The classic, clear corporate design is unmistakable yet still connotes a wide variety of performance media.
